Beginner Spinning

Learn the pre-requisite fundamentals required for the rest of our spinning classes. Wheel or spindle basics, how to prepare and draft your fiber, how to spin and ply your fiber.

• Basic spinning technique on wheel or spindle
• Basic plying technique on wheel or spindle in follow up sessions

This is a 3 session, 2 hour in person class to allow home practice of learned material with follow up.

Materials are provided as part of class, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer to learn with something you already own.

We have wheels or spindles that can be used in shop for the class to make sure you want to pursue this craft before you commit to the purchase of a wheel. We have flyer lead (Scotch tension), bobbin lead (Irish tension) and various drop spindles available for use and rent if needed.

Class Times: To be selected from available time slots on calendar. Recommendation is initial 1 hour class and two 30 minute follow ups that fit your schedule.

This is a one on one private class. Arrangements can be made for group lessons.
